DryAir Rental

Rental FAQs

Q1. When does the rental period start and end?

The rental period begins when the equipment is delivered to you or you pick it up from the DryAir location, and it continues until the equipment is returned to (or collected by) DryAir during normal business hours. Rental charges accrue every day – including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Q2. What’s included in the rental rate, and what costs are extra?

Rental rates are estimates based on your expected rental period. They do not include: consumables; taxes, fees, and licenses; delivery and pickup/freight charges; maintenance, repairs, or replacements; a cleaning fee (if required); and miscellaneous charges such as lost keys or equipment recovery costs.

Q3. How and when do I pay?

Payment is due in full, in advance, at the time of rental – unless you’ve been approved for DryAir’s commercial credit terms, in which case you’re invoiced and pay in arrears by cash, cheque, or ACH. Delinquent accounts are charged a service fee of 1.5% per month (or the maximum allowed by law).

Q4. Who is allowed to operate the rented equipment?

Only “Authorized Individuals” – people who are properly trained, at least 18 (or the local age of majority), and not impaired. You remain fully responsible for the equipment throughout the rental period, regardless of who operates it.

Q5. Does DryAir provide operator training?

DryAir is not responsible for providing operator training unless you request it in writing and DryAir agrees. You’re responsible for arranging any training you need before using the equipment.

Q6. Who handles maintenance and repairs?

You perform routine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning per the manufacturer’s specifications. All other repairs must be done by DryAir or its agents. DryAir covers Ordinary Wear and Tear; you’re responsible for other repair costs. If equipment is stolen or damaged beyond 40% of its fair market value, you’re responsible for its full value (plus applicable tax).

Q7. What insurance do I need to rent?

During the rental period you must carry, at minimum: general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence; workers’ compensation as required by law; and automobile liability (if the equipment is used on roadways). DryAir must be named as additional insured and loss payee, and certificates of insurance must be sent to scott@dryair.ca before the rental begins.

Q8. When and how do I return the equipment?

Return it to the same DryAir location during normal business hours, in the same condition you received it (less Ordinary Wear and Tear) and free of hazardous materials. If it’s returned late, rental charges continue to accrue until it’s returned as required.
