With over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and designing portable products to address different HVAC and indoor air quality challenges, DRYAIR was approached to develop a rapid deployment, intermodal Virus Screening Portal in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now pleased to make this unit available to those in food processing, construction, schools, health care, special events and manufacturing. The portal provides a safe, separate, and controlled environment for workers or visitors to be screened prior to entry.
A 20-foot, high cube shipping container serves as the rugged outer shell for the Virus Screening Portal. This size allows the unit to be shipped easily on multiple modes of transport with no special permits required. The unit features a positively pressurized booth with HEPA filtration, to protect the operator inside against transmission from those who come in to be screened. Interior air and surfaces are sanitized continuously using complimentary wavelength UV-C lights. After screening, visitors follow visual signs inside to an area where they can wash their hands and don any necessary PPE before entering the workplace. Outside STOP lights above the entry doors are controlled by the operator, letting workers or visitors know when it is safe to enter the portal, while maintaining appropriate personal distancing.
